Nature Photo Club - 2007 Program Planning Calendar How to prepare a show. We all go WOW when we see a great show. How many images does it take? Should I do music or a script? Slides or digital? February 10 Field Trip to Cleveland Zoo February 24 Best of Competition, International Nature Slide from Photographic Society of America. March 24 Gentleman's Day. This will be the first time the guys will have a day to show their outstanding nature images and talk about themselves as amateur nature photographers. April 14 Check in for Foto Fest April 20 Set-up for Foto Fest April 21 + 22 Foto Fest May 5 Foto Fest Awards Day followed by A Photographic Potpourri slide presentation by Glen Tharp May 12 Field Trip to Salt Fork State Park June 22 Bobbi Muhlbach will present an introductory class on Photoshop Elements. July 21 Field Trip to Jackson Bog July 28 Let’s talk about basic photographic equipment. Lenses, tripods, extension tubes, and filters. Chuck John and Howard Rubin, Jr. August 25 Ladies’ Day. The gals will show their best work and talk about themselves as amateur nature photographers. September 29 Anything Goes Each member is to bring up to 10 images (slides, prints and/or digital) on any subject. This is your chance to show your non-nature work. October 12-14 Field Trip weekend to Canaan Valley, WV October 27 How can I take better bird photos? We will have Alan Dolan from the TWC Birding Club to talk to us about bird habits, migration, places, and the best time of year to find birds in their full plumage. November 17 Guys and Gals Shootout! It’s one win for the guys and one win for the gals. Who will come away with the title of best shooters for 2007? December 15 Holiday Party Let’s take one more look at award winning images from 2007 and some great vacation shots while we enjoy fellowship and cookies.
