TWC HIKES

                                                                                      Return to Family/Adult programs

Butterfly Hikes

Join Naturalist Lynda Price as she walks the butterfly monitoring transect. This is an informal opportunity to learn about butterfly identification, try out your identification skills, and experience the scientific monitoring program. Each participant receives a free copy of the booklet, Common Butterflies and Skippers of Ohio, an Ohio Division of Wildlife publication.

Butterfly hikes are cancelled if it's raining.

Butterfly monitoring takes place throughout the summer. Watch for dates!

Snake Walks

Come on a Snake Walk! Join Naturalist Carrie Elvey for a snake hunt! She’ll be checking some of her monitoring spots as well as several snake “hot spots” to see what we can find. Bring a camera. Wear long pants and good hiking shoes - we’ll be off trail.

Snake Walks are usually held in the summer. Watch for dates!

Bird Walks

Join TWC’s Bird Club for a walk around the Pond Trail to look for birds. All ages.

Bird Walks are held on Saturday mornings, year round.

Plant Walks

TWC's Botanizers Club leads plant walks throughout the growing season. Walks are usually on Sunday afternoons. Each features a theme—download the Program Guide for upcoming walks.
