Land Donations | ||||
TWC is willing to accept donations of land that are ecologically or scenically significant and serve to support our primary conservation mission. Donating land may be an ideal conservation strategy for landowners without heirs, that no longer use the property or can no longer care for the property and wish the land to be protected. Donating property can provide substantial tax deductions and benefits for landowners. | ![]()

TWC also accepts land donations of property to be used as assets for future use. If a property is currently developed or serves some non-conservation purpose, TWC may still accept the land with the understanding that it will be sold in the future or serve as a trade-land for a future conservation project.
The Ellis and Almeda Wiles Woods, one of the Center's most significant tracts was donated by the conservation-minded owners. This 80-acre tract has mature forest and a wonderful diversity of plant.
