Stream Mitigation Opportunities

The Wilderness Center is approved to offer stream mitigation under its in-lieu fee agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Huntington District and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

Regulations regarding stream mitigation are still pending. Currently the agencies are handling stream mitigation on a case-by-case basis.

The Wilderness Center has acquired stream frontage along Sugar Creek in southwestern Stark County, Ohio. The Center may use this land for stream mitigation with the approval of the agencies.

If you need stream mitigation, remind the agency personnel about The Wilderness Center's in-lieu fee program that includes opportunities for stream mitigation.
