Gary is a conservation biologist and is The Wilderness Center’s Director of Conservation and Land Stewardship.  At TWC Gary’s primary duties include conservation planning for all properties and conservation easements (mapping, invasive plant management, Rx fire), working with other conservation organizations and agencies on a regional basis and grant writing.  He is a native of Willowick, Ohio and graduated from Eastlake North High School in 1973.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife biology and a Master of Science degree in biology from California University of Pennsylvania.  Before coming to TWC in the fall of 2008, Gary worked for the Ohio chapter of The Nature Conservancy.  Gary also worked as a biologist for the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Ecological Services office located in Vero Beach, Florida.
