Definitions: Insects have three body parts and six legs while arachnids have two body parts eight legs. Lentic ecosystems are aquatic habitats with slow moving waters such as lakes, ponds and bogs; lotic ecosystems are aquatic habitats with moving waters such as streams and creeks. Foods of dragonflies and damselflies include a number of flying insects including: ants; mosquitoes; mayflies and; termites.
