The Prairie Shelter is east of the parking area and is surrounded by prairie. It is a particularly beautiful setting in late July and early August when the prairie is in bloom. The shelter can either be open on three sides or closed if the weather turns sour. It has lights and electrical outlets. Seating at picnic tables can accommodate 80 people.

Lake View Shelter (40×30, 1200 sq.ft)
The Lake View Shelter is south of the Interpretive Building and has a wonderful view of Wilderness Lake. The shelter has a level walk in from our parking area and is particularly easy for wheel chair use. The shelter can either be open on three sides or closed if the weather turns sour. It has lights and electrical outlets. Seating at picnic tables can accommodate 80 people.
