The Center's mission is Nature Education, Wildlife and Land Conservation, Natural History Research, and Community Service. It's headquarters is located outside Wilmot, Ohio near the junction of Stark, Wayne, Holmes, and Tuscarawas counties.

Brewster Wetland is located in Brewster, Ohio along Sugar Creek. The wetland is a high-quality category 3 forested wetland.

Each year, thousands of children visit The Wilderness Center for science and environmental education. In addition, Wilderness Center naturalists travel to many schools throughout the region to provide unique educational opportunities.
