Junior Naturalist

Looking to explore nature out your backdoor and around the world? Join TWC’s 2021 Jr. Naturalist program this summer! This three-unit program includes observations and explorations of Your Backyard, Your Greenspace, and Your World. Students will learn about the sky, plants, water, and insects throughout the units as they broaden their knowledge of local natural history and global habitats and ecology. This program encourages students to get outside and have fun while learning about the natural world.

This program can be completed on your own, or join the naturalists at The Wilderness Center for a one-day introduction for each unit. Each day will run from 10:00 – 1:00 and includes activities from the unit, games and optional hike. Bring a pack lunch, and prepare for a day of family fun! All children participating will be provided a printed unit on the day of each class.
