Connecting with Community

Community has always been the cornerstone of The Wilderness Center. Since our founding, a strong sense of connection and shared vision has guided our mission. Just as our community of volunteers, clubs and members support us, TWC invests in the health and well-being of our communities.

There are many ways to show your support of TWC. Support us as a member, spread the word, or join us as a volunteer. Our community is stronger with you in it!

Tree of Life planting

We are incredibly grateful to the community members who joined us to assist with our most recent Tree of Life planting. Your hard work and positive energy made for a great day, and we hope you are as excited as we are to see your trees begin to grow! You can donate to our Tree of Life program here.

Rain Gardens at TWC

The next time you visit TWC, be sure to stop and enjoy our new rain gardens. The Stark Soil and Water Conservation District helped build two rain garden displays at TWC to be used as educational tools. Many thanks also go out to Beaver Excavating Company for the digging, and to Ohio Native Plant Society for providing a grant for educational signage.

Save Ohio Bees

TWC was is excited to partner this year with The Buzz Maker in launching the #SaveOhioBees initiative to promote Ohio artists and conservation. Throughout 2021, Ohio artists are donating a portion of net proceeds to benefit The Wilderness Center and the Pollinator Partnership!
