Summer Solstice Celebration & Night Hike

Enjoy a campfire and night hike celebration at The Wilderness Center! Learn about the cultural history of the summer solstice and why it is celebrated, enjoy a s'more, and bid the sun goodnight as we wrap up the longest day of the year.

Terrain: up to 1.0 mile; on gravel, grass, and sloped trails; slow pace with limited visibility (no white flashlights). Weather appropriate attire and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

After your hike, weather permitting, join the Astronomy Club in TWC's observatory to enjoy what the summer night sky has to offer through our telescopes. If the weather doesn't cooperate there will be a "Tonight's Sky" show in the planetarium.
