Volunteer at Enchanted Forest!

On October 10th and 11th, the trails of The Wilderness Center (TWC) will be transformed into the Enchanted Forest, and we need your help!

Creating this one-of-a-kind, educational, and entertaining event is possible thanks to the time and talents of dozens of dedicated volunteers.

We're looking for volunteers to carve pumpkins, act as Fireflies (trail guides), costumed characters, and more for this fun, traditional community event.

A quietly friendly volunteer "Firefly" with a lantern leads guests along our jack-o-lantern lined trails. Along the way, visitors to the Enchanted Forest meet engaging creatures, such as Raccoon, Spider, Opossum, Tree Frog, Caterpillar, and Salamander. These costumed, volunteer characters sing, tell jokes, and share stories of life in the woodlands. This program is truly a magical, memorable experience for families throughout the region.

Make a difference and be a part of something truly unique! Bringing the Enchanted Forest to life each year requires help from over 100 dedicated volunteers collectively contributing 100's of hours.

Volunteering for Enchanted Forest is especially fun to do with a friend! Volunteers aged 12 – 14 need to have an adult that can volunteer with them. Anyone over 14 can volunteer as long as they feel confident to help.

Enchanted Forest supports TWC's mission to nurture and inspire a connection between people and nature through habitat conservation , environmental education , and community engagement.
