This is a two-part volunteer restoration effort we're running this summer to continue improving conditions at Fox Creek. Last year, we did a clean-up as part of the Fall Stewardship Challenge, but the stream continues to collect new debris and invasive plants limit the amount of native shrubs that can grow.

  • Part 1 (July 25) is focused on trash removal—clearing out litter that’s washed in from upstream and embedded in the streambed and along the banks.
  • Part 2 (August 8) focuses on invasive shrub removal, targeting species like multiflora rose and bush honeysuckle to make space for native vegetation like dogwood and willow.

What to Bring: Muck boots or shoes you don’t mind getting wet, and a water bottle. We’ll provide gloves and tools.

This hands-on work directly improves water quality, streambank stability, and habitat for native plants and animals.  Join us and be part of the reason Fox Creek keeps getting better!
