Daniel Volk

Director of Conservation &

Land Management

Daniel Volk has been a professional natural resource manager, researcher, and conservationist for over a decade. Dan began his career studying forest health at Cleveland Metroparks, specifically looking at pests and pathogens affecting trees. He has worked throughout northeast Ohio, including positions with Holden Arboretum and Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Dan has a Bachelor of Science in biology from Cleveland State University and a Master of Science in biology from the University of Central Florida.

Zac Justus

Forestry & Restoration

Coordinator

Zac Justus is a forestry and restoration professional with years of experience in forest management, woodland stewardship, and ecological restoration. He works with landowners to assess forest conditions, develop management plans, oversee timber harvests, improve tree regeneration, control invasive species, and enhance wildlife habitat.


Zac’s approach combines practical field experience with a strong understanding of forest ecology. He provides landowners with clear, honest recommendations designed to protect the health, value, and future of their woods. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in the natural resources field, along with advanced training and professional credentials relevant to forestry, ecology, prescribed fire, and wetland management.
